Max Patté: Unfolding, Club Diamondz, Double Bay 2026 - The exhibition takes its title from this series. Unfolding #002 is a wall sculpture in mirror-polished stainless steel, dyed rose, amber, violet and crimson and folded into sharp planes, as though a sheet of coloured light had been creased and then allowed to open. Because every face is a mirror, the work hands the room back to you in tinted fragments, and it changes as you walk past or as daylight moves across the wall. It sits between Patté’s paintings and his sculpture: the geometry of the Colours of Home canvases, lifted off the surface and into space.
