Max Patté: Unfolding, Club Diamondz, Double Bay 2026 - Spring Symphony is one of the large round Infinity Lightworks. Bands of sky blue, coral, sage, rose, violet and gold ring a dark centre that seems to fall away without end, an effect Patté builds from layered paint, cast acrylic, two-way glass, mirror and LED light. The diameter of 161.8 cm echoes the golden ratio, 1.618, a proportion that recurs across his largest circular works. The colours are clean and bright, and the piece behaves more like a window than a picture.
