Max Patté: Unfolding, Club Diamondz, Double Bay 2026 - Petal isolates a single form within the faceted language of the Colours of Home paintings. A yellow and green shape opens out of a pale field of lilac, mint and white, like one petal lifted from a flower and enlarged. It is the most open and restful canvas in the exhibition, and the clearest bridge between Patté’s paintings and his Unfurling sculptures, which open in the same way.
