Opening Celebration: Saturday 24 May 2-4pm
Ben Sheers' solo exhibition, Objekt(s), invites viewers to contemplate the fundamental essence of eight meticulously crafted sculptural objects.
From wall-mounted pieces to others elegantly poised in space, each work merges form, light, and colour into a cohesive dialogue. This artistic arrangement highlights the versatility of stadium and circle shapes and how different configurations can reconcile into a precisely unified expression.
Each piece contributes to an ongoing conversation about structure and perception, showcasing the dynamic interplay of spatial relationships and aesthetic harmony.
Drawing from a palette reminiscent of dusk's transition into night, shades such as Mountbatten Pink and Tyrian Purple accentuate the sculptures’ presence, enhancing shadow and shade to give each its own contemplative topography. One which assumes the conditions and context of its surroundings to emphasise the ephemeral dynamism that exists between structure and colour.
